This page contains my icons. To use the icons displayed below on a PC once you've downloaded and unzipped the file associated with them, is right click on an open field of your PC's desktop and select "Properties". That opens up "Display Properties". Then you choose the "Desktop" tab in the new window that opens up and then select "Customize Desktop". From there you can change the commonly displayed icons on your PC by selecting replacements from wherever you dumped the icons you downloaded. Another way to change icons on a PC is file specific and that requires you to right click on the file and choose "Properties" and then select the "Customize" tab. If there is no "Customize" tab you're out of luck. I you're using XP, then use the icon with "xp" in the name, otherwise use the icon that doesn't.
To use the icons on a Mac once you've downloaded and unstuffed the file associated with them, all you have to do is choose "Get Info" on whichever icon you wish to use and then select the graphic in the "Get Info" window and then copy it using the "Apple" and "C" keys simultaneously to copy the icon. Choose the file you want to copy it to and "Get Info" on it and then select the graphic in that window and use the "Apple" and "V" keys simultaneously to paste in the custom icon. The procedure is the same for both OS X and OS 9 (and earlier).
